Information for 2021 Summer Camps

Registration:

-As mentioned above, all churches who would have attended in 2020 will receive emails on January 5, 2021 to allow them to register first in 2021. February 5, 2021 registration will open to all new churches or to those who did not register in January.

-Housing for camp will based on the current Louisiana COVID-19 lodging restrictions. (See top of this page for current Phase conditions related to COVID-19) As of April 12, 2021, we are in a “modified Phase 3” and are allowing overnight campers based on 75% of our lodging. (note: in Phase 3 and under the modified Phase 2 the LA guidelines for businesses online was never updated to allow “sleepover camps” but our camp and others had been allowed to do so in October 2020)

-We will take registrations and deposits until we meet our housing limit under COVID guidelines. We will create a waiting list after a camp week fills, so that if COVID conditions improve and we are able to open lodging to a greater percentage later in 2021, you will be next in line to register. We will not ask for a deposit for those on a waiting list until space opens up.

-Should your whole church group have to back out of summer camp, or individuals cancel prior to camp, we will return your deposits like we did in 2020, if it is a COVID-related reason (sick, quarantine, etc)

-We must have a signed waiver from every camp participant stating that you understand COVID-19 transmission risk if you come to camp. We will include this waiver as a part of registration materials.

Housing:

-As mentioned above, overnight housing will be at a 75% capacity. In cabins, people are encouraged to sleep alternating top and bottom bunks as well as alternating from head to toe. Beds are already marked appropriately.

General:

-Participants are encouraged to be masked indoors, and/or when social distancing is not possible. Tall Timbers staff has been wearing masks while hosting groups as we have put COVID safety standards into practice.

-Extra hand sanitizing stations will be located at camp as well as signage encouraging hand washing, cleanliness, coughing into elbows, etc.
